About us

With a background in hospitality and marketing, and coming from a long line of restaurateurs, baking has been a passion since I learnt to bake my first butter cake at 8.

After serving a lot of birthday, anniversary and wedding cakes and seeing the joy it brings people, in 2007 my friends encouraged me to start selling my creations commercially, and so, Sugar by Winz was born.

I’ve been very fortunate to have been trained by some of Australia’s finest cake decoratéurs, such as Rosemary at Major Cakes, Rochelle Adonis and of course Paris, Handi & Anna Maria at the world famous Planet Cakes in Sydney.

Everyday, they inspire me with their ideas and pursuit of perfection in the amazing world of edible art.
